Q. Do I get my slides, negatives and photographs back?
A. Yes, everything is returned to you, along with the DVD(s) containing your scanned digital images.
Q. How long will it take to scan my images?
A. We generally turn your order around in 5 to 10 working days, although it obviously depends on existing workload. If you would like your images by a certain date it is best to contact us first.
Q. Can I copy the DVD's you provide?
A. Yes, you can copy the DVD yourself if you have the equipment. Alternatively we can provide additional copies at 5.00 per DVD.
Q. Do you accept international orders?
A. Yes, we are very familiar with shipping internationally. Please note that we cannot accept orders from Nigeria, Italy or Canada.
Q. Can I print the scanned images myself?
A. Yes, once they are scanned you can treat them just like any other digital photograph and either print them yourself or take the DVD to a photo lab for printing.
Q. Can I provide a hard drive for the images to go on instead of having them on DVD?
A. Yes, that is fine so long as it is an external drive with either a USB or Firewire interface and formatted for FAT16 or FAT32, not NTFS please.
Q. Do you keep a copy of my images?
A. Only for a couple of weeks in case you want any further DVD copies. We delete your images from our system when we need the disk space for further scanning jobs.
Q. Do you scan old cine films?
A. No, but we know some people who do! Excelsior Films provide an excellent cine to DVD conversion service and can be contacted on 01293 401696.
Q. Do you put watermarks or advertising logo's on my images?
A. No, they are your images not ours, we do not watermark or brand your images in any way.
Q. Are there any hidden charges, or is VAT on top?
A. No, the price we quote is the price you pay.
